Different Freight Methods for Different Circumstances

As a guide the following will give some indication as to what's available.

Type	Suited For	Benefits
Air Courier/ Small Packet/ Parcel	Consignments up to maybe 25-40 Kgs	Easy, cost effective, fixed price
Air freight	General cargo over say 25 Kgs, perishables, valuable, time sensitive product.	Quick, cost effective up to say 200 Kgs
Sea freight FCL (Full Container Load)	Cargo that fits within the container (there are many types and sizes).	Cost effective
Sea Freight LCL (Less Container Load)	General cargo up to say 15 Cubic Metres	Cost effective
Seafreight break-bulk	All cargo that can not be containerised. Often shipped above deck so be very conscious of potential for water damage.	Enables Bulky or large pieces to be moved.
Bulk	Bulk products such as chemicals, ores, coal etc.	Enables bulk items to be transported with the minimum of handling.
Ro/Ro (Roll-on Roll-off)	Vehicles, equipment on special trailers	Ideal for moving things on wheels
